IPLog script description:

Publisher review:
IPLog script allows you to place an SSI tag on your webpage and then whenever the page is loaded a database is updated with that persons IP in it. This script allows you to place an SSI tag on your webpage and then whenever the page is loaded a database is updated with that persons IP in it. This is useful for security purposes especially on credit card orders! The database will log the hostname on the page, the IP on the page and time it was requested - obviously the page name and path is logged too.

There are two modes of operation, administrators can either choose text based databases or MySQL based databases. This allows for the administrator to have a site ideally suited to him which grows with his/her requirements.

The "administration" section of the website contains two pages. The first lists all the IPs and the pages (everything stored in the database in other words), and the second is a page which allows deletion of individual records of IPs or all at once. The "listing" page has links to the deletion page.

All the pages which give output and are genearted on the fly (the administration pages) have templates which allow the webmaster to customise how the site will look for those actually working with it.

The package comes with sample templates and an example of how to call the CGI. Also included are FULL instructions on how to set it up, how to edit the configuration file and how to install your chosen database type.
